Titanium Pt5000 Movt 50 fathoms watch THORN T006 20ATM 38MM Sapphire Diver 20Bar

The upside; The watch is really very nice, with very well made case, great dial, super-legible hands, a great domed saaphire crystal and a super soft strap, a great size with a vintage feel and is supremely comfortable on the wrist, so much so you forget you're wearing it. The saaphire(?) Inset bezel action is very good and markers are lumed although the lume is not particularly long lasting.



So far it has high amplitude and keeps to +/- 2/3 seconds per day. Very good indeed!



Moans and niggles; the crown is bit small, but i suppose it is vintage look and crowns were smaller in the 1950s, but it could have been half a millimeter bigger. More significantly the movement feels decidedly gritty, as if its lacking lubrication, so much so i won't try to hand wind it. Rotating the hands in the forward direction is not the smoothest either, neither is the stem action as precise as i would like. Hopefully this will not affect the running of the otherwise excellent watch.
